Review: Toy Story 3

I finally got around to seeing this movie, and it was worth the wait. Without question, this is one of the best movies of the year. I can't say it's as good as Up, which was better mostly because it didn't have two previous films to fall back on. But regardless, the film was very good, and very much worth the wait.

The film's plot basically centers around Andy, the owner of the toys, going off to college. Like most people, he can't bring his toys to college, and so he has to decide what to do with the toys. Though originally intended to be put away in the attic, the toys end up being donated to a daycare center. The rest of the plot deals with the result of this donation.

The voice acting and dialogue are enjoyable. It is hard to really fault the animation. The only flaw that I could find involved a deus ex machina towards the end of the film, but that part of the plot didn't really detract away from the overall story.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this film. I enjoyed watching it, though I didn't see it in 3D, and I would wholeheartedly recommend it. This is, of course, assuming that you haven't already seen it.
