A list of 7 thoughts about the authors that I have read today.

1. Descartes' writing style and length, as compared to that of those who study him, is brevity exemplified. Thank god for that.

2. Durkheim is still comprehensible 15 pages in.

3. I have bought one of the wrong books for my class.

4. The Elementary Forms of Religious Life is making me want to be a sociologist too much.

5. Reading the introductions, while likely to make it easier for me to understand things, is too difficult today.

6. To be a sociologist you must go bald.

7. Apparently France had great thinkers.
